1. It’s Harder to Find Companies That Offer Stone Slurry Grout Leveling

When done right, stone slurry grout leveling uses specialized (and expensive!) equipment that allows for better precision and control when lifting concrete making it more difficult to find local companies that have access to this technology.

2. Pump Hoses Provide Limited Reach

Stone slurry grout leveling requires the slurry to be mixed on-site and pumped through hoses that can reach up to 350 feet. While this range works for most residential jobs, it becomes tricky when the job site is further away.

The pump truck can often be maneuvered closer to the slab, but obstacles like fences or buildings might block access. Portable solutions, like those used in some foam leveling or mudjacking setups, might be more practical in these cases.

Note: Further house reach may be possible under special circumstances where little control is needed.

3. The Material Can Be Dusty for Specialized Jobs

Stone slurry grout concrete leveling works by injecting a mixture of pulverized limestone and water below the settled slabs.

The dust from the pulverized limestone is generally kept contained and easily cleaned up with water, even on interior jobs. However, stone slurry grout leveling may not be the best option for specialized jobs that require a 100% dust-free environment, like surgical wings in hospitals.
