The starting wage for concrete repair technicians in Louisville is $15-$20 per hour depending on background skills and relevant experience. 

All technicians start as mixing assistants and move to the truck lead role as they gain experience.

Once you’ve mastered the mixing assistant role, moved up to truck lead, and acquired the skills necessary to personally lead a team and manage repair projects while consistently exceeding customer expectations, your potential pay could go up to $30 per hour as you reach the desired milestones.

We are always excited when concrete repair technicians show drive and initiative, as there are also opportunities to take on management or sales positions within the company.

Getting Pay Raises as a Concrete Repair Technician

Once you can demonstrate a higher skill level with consistency, you’ll be considered for a raise. Skill levels are assessed during one-on-one quarterly reviews and field evaluations here at A-1 Louisville.

Payment Frequency

Health insurance

After one month of working, you’ll be eligible for a health insurance plan. Here at A-1 Louisville, we pay 50% of your premium, and your half of the premium is paid with pre-tax dollars, in turn reducing your overall taxable income.

401(k)

After 6 months of working, you’ll be eligible to enroll in ​​​​​​A-1’s ​traditional 401(k) retirement savings program. As A-1 offers a traditional 401(k) program, your contribution will be with pre-tax dollars, and your taxable income will be lowered, meaning you pay less income tax upfront.

A-1’s contribution to your 401(k) will increase as your contribution increases, up to 3.5% when you contribute 6% or more.

Vacation & Holidays

After a 90-day introductory period, you’ll be eligible for one week of paid vacation per year and paid holidays.

End-of-Year Bonuses

There is also an opportunity to earn bonuses at the end of the year if you have exceeded expectations, which can be accomplished by achieving specific goals on individual projects or by learning and consistently utilizing new skills.
